Our first 10 days

Hi there family and friends.
Welcome to our first blog.
We are having a great time, seeing some amazing coastline, marine life and historical sites.  The country side is alive with wildflowers.
The weather is beautiful, cool nights but perfect sunny days.  We can feel the days getting hotter the further north we go.
Much of the first 10 days has been filled with travelling and sightseeing with few stops of more than a day or two.  Jack has done heaps of geocaching along the way.
Highlights so far have been:
1.       Ruby’s 5th birthday on 19 Aug 11 in Kalbarri

2.       Nature’s Window and the 8km Loop Walk in the Kalbarri N.P. (Jack and Ella walked the whole thing without a peep.  Ruby walked heaps but far preferred shoulder rides).

3.       Wildflowers everywhere.

4.       4WDing out to Cape Perrin N.P. where we saw a dugong, a turtle, a reef shark, heaps of sting rays and good sized tailor.

5.       3 hour snapper charter - NOT!!! – not a bite! – No photos either…

6.       Jack feeding the dolphins at Monkey Mia

7.       Jack’s 11th birthday on 26 Aug 11 at Quobba Station

8.       Blowholes at Quobba Point

Our intention is to write a blog each time we spend a few days at somewhere special, and then post it when we are in a town or caravan park with internet access.
Next stop Coral Bay!
Best wishes from the Redmans’

Final Preparations

Hi everyone.

Our final preparations are well under way.  We find it hard to believe that it is only 2 more sleeps until we depart!

It is going to take us a bit of time to get the hang of BLOGGER, but we hope we will be able to share some of our sights and adventures with you.  Please leave messages for us.  We will all be looking forward to some contact with our loved ones.

Until our first official blog from on the road, happy travels.

Stu
